Provider Payment Platform Transition Update

Envolve Vision, also operating as Centene Vision Services, is transitioning provider claims payments and remittance delivery from the current no-cost EFT process to the no-cost Vision ePayment Center hosted by Zelis®.

Please note that the previously communicated Nov. 1, 2026, transition date is no longer in effect. The implementation timeline has been extended, and the transition is now expected to occur in Q1 2027. We want to clarify that no action is required by the original Nov. 1, 2026, deadline.

Additional information, including the official effective date and transition details, will be shared in late 2026. We recommend that providers continue to enroll in advance of the Q1 2027 effective date.

Providers who would like to enroll in advance may register with the Vision ePayment Center by visiting centene-vision.epayment.center/registration and requesting a registration code. Enrollment instructions will be emailed within 24-48 hours from help@epayment.center.

For questions about enrollment, call 855-774-4392 or help@epayment.center.

Provider Billing Reminder: Hardware Charges

Envolve Vision has identified instances of inconsistent provider billing practices related to eyewear hardware charges. Providers are reminded that billed charges should accurately reflect the eyewear hardware products dispensed and be supported by an office's established fee schedule.

Hardware charges should be based on the product dispensed and should not be adjusted based on a member's available benefit allowance, anticipated reimbursement or copayment responsibility. Providers are expected to maintain a documented fee schedule and apply pricing consistently across identical eyewear hardware products.

Consistent billing practices support accurate claims processing, help reduce billing discrepancies and promote compliance with provider billing requirements. Providers are encouraged to periodically review their billing procedures and fee schedules to ensure charges remain consistent and are supported by appropriate documentation. Billing patterns that reflect excessive or inconsistent charges may be subject to additional review and may result in corrective action.

Reminder: Complete Your 2026 Medicare Compliance Training

If you have already completed your 2026 Medicare Compliance Training and submitted your attestation, thank you and please disregard this reminder.

All Medicare-contracted providers participating with Envolve Vision are required to complete the annual Medicare Compliance Training and attestation on behalf of themselves and their staff. Although the original deadline has passed, providers who have not yet completed the training are still expected to do so as soon as possible to meet Health Plan requirements for First Tier, Downstream, and Related Entities (FDRs).

The 2026 training materials and attestation form remain available online at envolvevision.com/attestation.html. After reviewing the required training documents, providers must complete and submit the online attestation. A confirmation message will appear immediately upon submission, and a confirmation email will be sent to the email address provided.

Provider groups may submit information for up to six practitioners on a single attestation form. Training is tracked at the individual provider NPI level, so only one submission per provider is needed regardless of the number of practice locations.

Plano HAL Lenses May Help Delay Myopia Onset in At-Risk Children

Plano LensEmerging research suggests that plano highly aspherical lenslet (HAL) spectacle lenses may help delay the onset of myopia in children who are not yet myopic but are at risk of developing it. In a retrospective study of children ages 4 to 9, researchers found that plano HAL lenses significantly slowed axial eye growth and reduced progression toward myopia when compared to pre-treatment rates.

The findings indicate that this lens technology, already used to manage myopia progression in children with myopia, may also provide benefits earlier in the disease process. Researchers also found that greater lens wear time was associated with improved outcomes.

When speaking with parents, explain that some children are at higher risk of developing myopia and that early intervention strategies may help slow changes in eye growth. For appropriate candidates, discuss plano HAL lenses as a potential option to help delay myopia onset, while emphasizing the importance of regular comprehensive eye exams and consistent lens wear as recommended by the eye care provider.

Help Members Connect with Your Practice

Provider Login ScreenYour provider directory listing plays an important role in helping members find and connect with your practice. Whether patients are searching for an in-network provider, confirming office details or scheduling an appointment, accurate information makes the process easier and helps ensure they receive the care they need.

Take a few moments to review your listing using the Find a Provider tool. Verify that your practice name, address, phone number, office hours and specialties are current. Remember, the information displayed in the directory is what members see when searching for vision care providers.

If your office has recently experienced changes, such as a new location, updated contact information, modified office hours or changes to participating providers, please submit the appropriate update as soon as possible. Keeping your information current helps improve the member experience and supports access to care.

To make changes, complete the appropriate form on the provider forms page or contact Customer Service for assistance.

Need to Submit a Claim? We've Got Options

Providers have three easy options for submitting claims: online, electronically or by mail.

  • Online: Use the Eye Health Manager (EHM) at envolvevision.com/logon to submit directly into our claims system. This method provides immediate confirmation of receipt. If you do not currently have access to the EHM, call Network Management at 800-531-2818.
  • Electronic: Submit claims electronically through Inmediata using Payor ID 204861241 (Envolve Vision Benefits of Puerto Rico). For setup, call Inmediata at 787-783-3233 or visit their website at inmediata.com.
  • Mail: Send claims on an original CMS 1500 form. Ensure all information is complete and legible for processing. Mail to the address listed within the appropriate Plan Specific.

Choose the method that works best for your practice and ensure timely, accurate submissions.

Supporting Better Outcomes Through Diabetic Care Coordination

Vision providers are an important part of the diabetes care team. Regular diabetic eye exams can help detect vision-threatening complications early and support better overall health outcomes. The CDC recommends routine eye examinations for people with diabetes because the disease can damage blood vessels in the eyes and affect vision.

When diabetic retinopathy screenings and retinal exam results are communicated promptly, providers can help identify patients who may need additional medical follow-up. Encouraging patients to stay current with both their eye exams and diabetes care appointments can help reduce the risk of vision loss and other diabetes-related complications.

Working together across specialties helps improve patient outcomes, supports preventive care efforts and reinforces the importance of regular diabetic eye examinations as part of a patient's overall health journey.

Health Literacy: Supporting Better Patient Understanding

Health literacy refers to a patient's ability to find, understand and use health information to make informed decisions about their care. In an eye care setting, clear communication can help patients better understand their vision benefits, treatment recommendations and the importance of routine eye exams.

Consider using plain language, avoiding medical jargon and providing instructions in a clear, easy-to-understand format. Asking patients to repeat key information in their own words can also help confirm understanding and identify opportunities for additional education.

By promoting health literacy, providers can help improve patient engagement, encourage adherence to treatment plans and support better health outcomes. Taking a few extra moments to ensure patients understand their care can make a meaningful difference in their overall healthcare experience.

Improve the Health of Diabetic Members

Help your patients with diabetes and reduce administrative burdens. Envolve Vision offers a dedicated HEDIS Training and Tips website to determine CPT II and other supplemental codes to use for diabetic retinal exams. Routine retinal evaluation is recommended to reduce the risk of diabetes-related blindness.

REMINDER: You may be eligible for a $10 CPT II reporting incentive. Please ensure your billing staff submits a billed rate of at least $10 to receive the maximum reimbursement for this incentive program. Review your fee schedule and remember to submit the appropriate CPT II codes referenced at HEDIS Training and Tips.
