Medi-Cal Provider Training
To comply with California regulatory requirements, CA Medicaid providers are required to review the Centene Vision Services Provider Manual, Clinical Policies, and complete Compliance Trainings.
All CA Medicaid contracted-providers must attest annually (by December 31st) that they have reviewed the required materials and completed the required trainings for themselves and their staff (admin staff, provider care staff, clinical or support staff that coordinate and/or deliver services and benefits to Medi-Cal members). Provider offices should maintain evidence of staff that completed the trainings to provide to Centene Vision Services upon request.
New Required Compliance Training: Cultural Humility, Competency, and Equity in Healthcare 2025. This training emphasizes understanding and addressing health disparities, inequities, and social needs across California's diverse communities by recognizing implicit bias, practicing cultural humility, and taking steps toward equitable, culturally sensitive, and respectful quality care.
New Providers are required to start training within 10 business days and complete the training within 30 business days of becoming active with Centene Vision Services. Failure to complete the required training and materials review may result in the provider being removed from the system as an active provider until training requirements are met.
If you have any questions, email EBOCompliancematters@centene.com. We look forward to our continued relationship in providing quality eye care services to our members.
1. Review Provider Training & Educational Materials
Please review the required trainings and educational resources below.
- Cultural Humility, Competency, and Equity in Healthcare 2025
- Medi-Cal for Kids & Teens Provider Training (PDF) (EPSDT Training)
- Centene Vision Services Provider Manual (PDF)
- Centene Vision Services Clinical Policies
Note: If you completed the Cultural Humility and Competency Training and Medi-Cal for Kids & Teens (EPSDT) Training with another California health plan, you are not required to take the Centene Vision version of the trainings. You are still required to review the Centene Vision Provider Manual and Clinical Policies, as those are specific to Centene Vision. Please submit the Centene Vision attestation to validate you completed the trainings with another California health plan and have reviewed the additional Centene Vision educational resources.
2. Fill Out Attestation Details
For provider groups, you only need to submit for one location, as the training is tracked at the individual provider NPI level. It is not necessary to submit multiple addresses for the same providers.
